How New Media has changed the fields of Mass Communications

Nowadays people receive information and message are convenience than before becouse the New Media are changing the culture of Mass Communication.

Public Relations



Before

The PR practitioner need to use face to face communicate with people or convince people. That is bother and difficult to let persuaite people, and that is need more human source to done the task or job. For example, if the PR practitioner from Malaysia need to communicate with the client that who are live in Singapore, he or she need to travel to the Singapore and face to face explain or pass the massege to the client, if they through the traditional media like telegraph that also not very convinent and slow down the process of communication. Thus, it is slow down the rate efficiency  of the PR practitioners.

Now




 The PR practitioners are using new media to done their task or job. Because that helps them to save their time and spread out the message to audiance more faster and cearly. For example, the social media like Facebook, Tweitter, instagram that help PR practitioner get feedback in immediatly and nowadays PR practitioner can using social media to communicate with their target client. Thus, that save the time and increase the working efficiency of them.


Advertising
Before


The advetisement in before are just can show on TV (broadcast form) and printing form. That not very interesting and reach less audiance and expensive. For example, the advertising on traditional media that need to pay a lot of fee and it just show the advertising in media for a short time, also the printed advertisement in the newspaper show the low quality but in expensive price. Thus, that is not deserve for the advertiser.

Now





The New Media changed a lot of advertising industry, that reach more audience and less expensive or even free. Nowadays, people can create their advertisement by their ownself. For example, that can have in video format or photo or picture format. The company just need to create an account on social media like Facebook and just post the advertisment on their Facebook page and it is free and also reach more audience. Also, the advertiser now are pay their advertisement fee through the viewer.

Marketing 

Before 

The marketer are difficult to find their target and also hard to promote their service and product. Because they are hard to understand the actual need and wants of their customer. For example, they hard to get feedback from their client through traditional media. Even though, they can get the feedback but that is already too late to change they marketing strategy in their sale. Thus, that will couse them to loss their customer in the market or get less peoplr to buy their product and service.

 Now



The marketer can through new media find out their target audience. Because nowadays people can using social media to give feedback to another people. For example, people can comment the good or bad things on ccertain issuse or product service. Thus, the marketer analyzed the fabourite of the client and do their marketing more straightforward. Also, the marketer can choose to find out the specific audince through the information sharing from the public.
