Crisis communication & Social Media

           Crisis management is the process by which an organization deals with a major event that threatens to harm the organization, its stakeholders, or the general public and also Crisis communication and Social Media is a part of crises management.

           Besides, Crisis communication is a sub-specialty of the public relations profession that is designed to protect and defend an individual, company, or organization facing a public challenge to its reputation.

            Furthermore, social media play important tools in handling a crisis, because people will using social media post something bad comment on your company, and without any filter and that will drop down the reputation on the company.

            Although, people will also can share their good comment and tell about good things on the company, but that is lesser than compare with people will post bad information or new about your company. Because, the good thing people always like to keep, and bad thing people will like to share.

We can see Starbuck handling and reply the comment immediately. They have the good Crisis communication on Social Media but we can see it people will still like unsatisfied with them.


In a nutshell, social media play important rule in crisis communication, because people are “close” to you when communicate by using social media. It will bring in more feedback, but it is depend on that feedback is GOOD to you or BAD to you.

Crisis management (online negative feedback)


Crisis management is the application of strategies designed to help an organization deal with a sudden and significant negative event. A crisis can occur as a result of an unpredictable event or as an unforeseeable consequence of some event that had been considered a potential risk. In either case, crises almost invariably require that decisions be made quickly to limit damage to the organization. For that reason, one of the first actions in crisis management planning is to identify an individual to serve as crisis manager.

Here I want to share about the Sushi King Company that has properly engaged negative feedback, review and dissatisfaction.

                Sushi King Company they provide a good answer and reply comment to anyone who have comment bad comment about their company. They are responsibility to their client and take note to everyone who have bad comment or suggestions on their social media (Facebook).

                Besides, they also have well apologizes to their customer on their low and bad quality service. It is very good way to make client satisfied and happy if the company take note for their respond.

                Furthermore, Sushi King Company was also a have the nice on crisis management on social media. Because they have manage the bad issue in “PM” (inbox message) way, that can avoid their bad image to pass or share by another client.

The criteria of a good online spokesperson

         A good spokesperson need to very responsible to the brand or company that endorsement by themselves. Also, they need to know the detail information about the brand or company. Because it can answer the question from customer, and that will be more persuasive for customer. Furthermore, the spokesperson also need to loyal to the brand that amusement by themselves.
      
      A good example I saw from the social media (Facebook) that I feel she is the good online spokesperson which is Michell Lim Huei Sun (韩晓嗳), she is the spokesperson of “SIMPLE BEAN” she is not an artist, or superstar, but she was very famous and many teenager and young adult will know who she is. I feel she was a good spokesperson because she always wearing the clothes that sponsor by “SIMPLE BEAN” in her daily life. For example, she will wear their clothes to party, dinner, shopping and so on. Also she will always go to the outlet take picture with the product and post on Facebook to call people come the shop.


     Another good example that I saw in Facebook is LINGIN (林進). He is from Taiwan and his endorsement way was very different with other spokesperson. But he can get a lot of people to view his video advertisement. Because his will present the product by use the funny way to make people laugh and remember the product. He is not just only help one company or brand to endorsement product. But he was very responsible in telling the detail information on the product that endorsement by him.


     I think the company that they engaged both of this 2 person to be their spokesperson because they success to get the high number of viewers and also make people to remember the proscut that endorsement by them. Because people always like to skip the advertisement in daily life, but they are success to make us remember the product or brand.
