Thank You Blog


Hello! This is the last post in this blogger, and this post is the thank you blog that write for the people who help me in doing or writing this blogger.


First of all, I would like to thanks my lecture of this subject, she is Miss Sabina. Thanks for her to have this kind of homework to “push” me active my blogger account, haha!! Because before this homework I am actually got write some blog to “record my life”. Besides, it is improve my knowledge about new media, to knowing and care about that the issues sharing by other people. Also this blogger is the first English blogger that I write, because I think my English is very poor and usually I will use Chinese to write my blogger. Thus, through this blogger, that also improve some of my English language, because I should write in English haha!!! Abuden Miss Sabina don’t understand it.


Second, I would like to thanks my best X100 friend, also my roommate, she is Ko Ee Hong. Thank for Ee Hong give me a lot of opinion and sharing her idea when my brain is lagging when I am doing this blogger. Also feel sorry for her, because sometime I do last minute job in doing this blogger and make her can’t sleep, because I don’t give her switch of the light hahaha XD, and thank you for her pardon.  


Last, I would like to thanks my lovely classmates which is Tuck Yoong, Pui Yin (Ah Puii) and Shi Yong (Ah Blue). They always remind me to complete this homework faster and they also tech me how to write the post about the topic that I don’t understand how to write, and they kind to show their done example for me when I don’t know how to write the post. Thanks for them, because they are my “power” to push me done this blogger.

New Media Issues

Security issues - Cyber Harassment

Hi! This is the last topic of this blogger that I share to you all. Hope you all will enjoy my sharing information.

      Nowadays, a lot of people like use social media to updates their current status and also communicate with their friends and also online friends. Social media make people feel convenient and also it is very easy to use. But, it also have the disadvantage for people. Sometime, people share too much of their personal information. For example, people like to “check in” when they go coffee bar, traveling, shopping and some more. It is very bad attitude for sharing this kind of information public in this social media, because other people will know you are not at home during that time. Some of the culprits will through your statues “check in” to know where you are staying and what time you will not at home, thus, they will grasp your status and steal money or valuable items from your home.



              
       Besides, people like to fill in their full personal information on social media, like their date of birth, current job, hometown, hand phone number, and so on. We should not let our information show public or share to our online friends. Because some people will take your personal information to create another new account to doing something which is bilking money, relationship, and so on. 


Here is the example of status the facebook user being hacked.  



As a conclusion, we should use social media with prudential and sane by not sharing too much of our personal information to public and online friends.

Crisis communication & Social Media

           Crisis management is the process by which an organization deals with a major event that threatens to harm the organization, its stakeholders, or the general public and also Crisis communication and Social Media is a part of crises management.

           Besides, Crisis communication is a sub-specialty of the public relations profession that is designed to protect and defend an individual, company, or organization facing a public challenge to its reputation.

            Furthermore, social media play important tools in handling a crisis, because people will using social media post something bad comment on your company, and without any filter and that will drop down the reputation on the company.

            Although, people will also can share their good comment and tell about good things on the company, but that is lesser than compare with people will post bad information or new about your company. Because, the good thing people always like to keep, and bad thing people will like to share.

We can see Starbuck handling and reply the comment immediately. They have the good Crisis communication on Social Media but we can see it people will still like unsatisfied with them.


In a nutshell, social media play important rule in crisis communication, because people are “close” to you when communicate by using social media. It will bring in more feedback, but it is depend on that feedback is GOOD to you or BAD to you.

Crisis management (online negative feedback)


Crisis management is the application of strategies designed to help an organization deal with a sudden and significant negative event. A crisis can occur as a result of an unpredictable event or as an unforeseeable consequence of some event that had been considered a potential risk. In either case, crises almost invariably require that decisions be made quickly to limit damage to the organization. For that reason, one of the first actions in crisis management planning is to identify an individual to serve as crisis manager.

Here I want to share about the Sushi King Company that has properly engaged negative feedback, review and dissatisfaction.

                Sushi King Company they provide a good answer and reply comment to anyone who have comment bad comment about their company. They are responsibility to their client and take note to everyone who have bad comment or suggestions on their social media (Facebook).

                Besides, they also have well apologizes to their customer on their low and bad quality service. It is very good way to make client satisfied and happy if the company take note for their respond.

                Furthermore, Sushi King Company was also a have the nice on crisis management on social media. Because they have manage the bad issue in “PM” (inbox message) way, that can avoid their bad image to pass or share by another client.

The criteria of a good online spokesperson

         A good spokesperson need to very responsible to the brand or company that endorsement by themselves. Also, they need to know the detail information about the brand or company. Because it can answer the question from customer, and that will be more persuasive for customer. Furthermore, the spokesperson also need to loyal to the brand that amusement by themselves.
      
      A good example I saw from the social media (Facebook) that I feel she is the good online spokesperson which is Michell Lim Huei Sun (韩晓嗳), she is the spokesperson of “SIMPLE BEAN” she is not an artist, or superstar, but she was very famous and many teenager and young adult will know who she is. I feel she was a good spokesperson because she always wearing the clothes that sponsor by “SIMPLE BEAN” in her daily life. For example, she will wear their clothes to party, dinner, shopping and so on. Also she will always go to the outlet take picture with the product and post on Facebook to call people come the shop.


     Another good example that I saw in Facebook is LINGIN (林進). He is from Taiwan and his endorsement way was very different with other spokesperson. But he can get a lot of people to view his video advertisement. Because his will present the product by use the funny way to make people laugh and remember the product. He is not just only help one company or brand to endorsement product. But he was very responsible in telling the detail information on the product that endorsement by him.


     I think the company that they engaged both of this 2 person to be their spokesperson because they success to get the high number of viewers and also make people to remember the proscut that endorsement by them. Because people always like to skip the advertisement in daily life, but they are success to make us remember the product or brand.

The importance of having social media response policies

       Nowadays, many people are using social media to communicate, share data, search information, for entertainment and so on. It is very convenient and nowadays social media become more popular than traditional media, and people in this generation will more prefer to use social media than traditional media. Because of the user that is keep on increasing, thus having the policies in social media is very important.


  Firstly, social media policies is importance because that can protect the company’s reputation. Because employees can sharing negative sentiment on social media and it can improve the performance on their organization. So, it can become better when they using social media. Also can spend too much time organizing their social life,which can lead to loss of productivity.


       They can create a survey about feedback of their company from customer by using social media. It can save time and material cost. And still can use it to make an advertisement or website to attract customer to view their organization’s product.


      The example of incorporate real life is Nike because it will provide a fair price for customer. It can make a reputation for Nike and get more customer to buy their product. Besides, the will make an advertisement about discount promotion to attract customer to view it and buy. They also make own website such as feedback or contact us to get the response from customer to improve their service and performance.
